Vinyasa Flow Yoga

Cathy became a Yoga enthusiast in 2003, and kept practicing yoga while working for several UN agencies and diplomatic missions in Beijing. Over the years, she completed the Yoga Teacher Training at Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced Level at Chan Zhou Yoga Institute, and obtained the Advanced Indian Yoga Instructor Certificate, Accredited with Dept. of AYUSH Ministry of Health, Govt. of India; next she completed the 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training at the YogiYoga Institute, in conjunction with India’s Kaivalyadhama Lonavla Yoga Institute, subsequently Cathy obtained the Yoga Teacher qualification by American Yoga Alliance; later She then completed Yoga Yard’s 50-hour Hatha Vinyasa Teacher Training Program with Matthew Cohen, a well-known teacher from the Sacred Movement Center for Yoga and Healing in Santa Monica, California. In the meantime, she actively participated various local and international yoga workshops and conferences with distinguished yoga masters.

By persistent and sustained practice, Cathy gradually started to see things differently by looking inwards. She became aware that before reaching out to help others or embarking a new change in life, one must know oneself, from physical body, to energy body, to mental body, to intellectual body, in the end to discover one’s divine body, that is the aim of yoga. On this inward journey to achieve a sense of wholeness in life, Cathy decided her career needed a new turn. In 2007 Cathy began to share her love of yoga with others and became a full-time yoga teacher. She has been offering ‘in-house’ yoga sessions at the British Embassy, and teaches private classes to small groups on request. She also offers tailor-made programs for companies, at Standard Chartered Beijing Office, more than 80 people signed up for her class. Cathy also delivers training programs on request for people who wish to become yoga teachers. It is her passion to share her love of yoga with others, to help others search for one’s physical, mental and spiritual balance and freedom in life.
